This is something that I am becoming more and more passionate about.
This is a big one. Something I have not really written about before, but I feel that I need to get it off my chest.
IF YOU AGREE WITH ME PLEASE SHARE THIS! Facebook – Twitter – G+ etc – You know the drill!
I don’t normally watch the main stream news, I normally use an App called MYTIKKA.COM that tells me the headlines and I can choose what I want to find out more about.
But the other evening I watched the news and I quickly noticed that it is all ‘doom and gloom’ at the moment. Job cuts, unemployment on the rise, economies collapsing etc etc.
The problem seems obvious to me. I know there is more to it than what I am about to say, but this will certainly help.
THE PROBLEM IS WITH OUR CURRENT EDUCATION SYSTEM:
I have a great education thanks to my parent who put me into some fantastic schools and helped me out when I went to University. I am very grateful for that.
I went through the classic British schooling system then to University after which I looked to get a job BUT that didn’t work out.
You see, when I went to University, I studied Industrial Design And Technology (Product Design) and I really enjoyed it but having done the same thing for three years to get my degree, I found it really annoying that when I went to get the all important job, there were 70 other graduates (on average) applying for the same position.
Needless to say I didn’t get a job which was very hard to understand, so I ended up going back packing for a year around the world (much more fun!).
Here are a few photos from my travels:
Before I carry on, I recommend 100% that if you are not sure what you want to do with your life yet, you get a back-pack and you head down to STA Travel and get yourself an ‘around the world’ ticket. And just go… It will change your life, trust me.

On that journey around the world, I realised that there is more to life than just working for someone else and making THEM rich, so from the moment I got back I decided that I wanted to work for myself. It was like a switch! I wasn’t prepared to come back to the UK and fight against 70 other graduates for a job position for a pretty average income (sorry!).
BUT more importantly than that I realised that there is a real problem with our education system. A huge, yet very obvious problem.
Every step of our education system sets us up for the next ‘stage’ to ultimately get a job. This has a serious flaw.
The issue with this is that at no point are we being taught or even shown how to run our own businesses or how to become entrepreneurial.
This, is the problem. We are creating millions upon millions of employees but we are not being taught how to become entrepreneurs and CREATE the opportunities to fill the ever increasing demand for jobs.
So when I watched the news the other day, I quickly saw the problem. We are not creating enough opportunities, we are not creating enough entrepreneurs in this economy.
It’s simply ‘supply and demand’, the less jobs there are available, the more demand there is going to be, but because we keep creating more and more employees to fit into less and less jobs, it’s never going to work!
You wouldn’t create more and more houses to fit on the same piece of land would you?! It just doesn’t make sense, you have to create more land to meet the demand for houses.
The current system is never going to work, so the way I see it is this: We need to create more business people, create more jobs and ultimately create more entrepreneurs.
Not everyone is going to want to be an entrepreneur, not everyone is going to want to work for themselves, but there are millions who are conditioned to think like an employee when they have the skills to actually get out there and become the opportunity CREATOR.
So let’s start by building more opportunities by educating more and more entrepreneurs who will hire the staff, and create more and more jobs for people in this economy.
Surely this is going to help boost the economy and all it would take is a bit of common sense from our education system.
PLEASE share this if you agree with me. And then we will start to create more opportunities. I know that the way Scaleogy is going, we are going to be needing to take on staff soon and this is another example of creating opportunities rather than filling the ever decreasing job positions out there.
In the next few weeks and months we are going to be introducing you to many new business opportunities and ways for you to make money without having to get a job. It’s a tough time for many people at the moment, but it could be turned around and become an exciting time for many, all you need to do is shift your mindset to the fact that you can earn money yourself rather than working for someone else.
Rant over
Ben
